
Newhouse Collaboration 2005
The Newhouse Collaboration was a combination of workshops and performance events and sharings undertaken by an Ensemble drawn from the core performance group of the UK Kelman Group and Scott Kelman's Brooklyn Bay group in Portland, Or.
The members of the ensemble for the collaboration were Carla Grant, Don Kern, Bob Lockwood, Barnaby King, Molly Jaeger, Laura Sharp, Susi Paez, Taru Sinclair, Gill Roughley and Michael Phillips.
The group worked at Newhouse Hall, a Jacobean manor house in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and engaged on a packed programme, including:
- Program of R&D workshops - taking aspects of kelmanworks further.
- Improvisation play evenings with people with experience of the work.
- Presentations by the Ensemble at Leeds Unity Festival.
- Performance in the Victorian gallery at Leeds City Art Gallery.
- Performance collaboration with improvising musicians.
